Pelican Point Condominium Balcony Shoring and Repair
IEI Building Restoration Engineers worked to prepare a shoring plan for degrading balconies at Pelican Point Condominium building located on the beaches of Jacksonville, Florida. The engineers created a full 3D recreation model of the building envelope using Revit BIM software, and used this model to create detailed shoring plans and elevations for all 18 floors of the building. Detailed plans of the balcony framing were created to show exact locations and spacing of shoring members.
Specifications were also supplied for erection of a Mast Climber attached to the building's northernmost face to facilitate construction process.
