The structural design includes some areas of structural steel framing and other areas where reinforced and post-tensioned concrete support three stories of wood framing.

Structural design for this three-story 150,000 SF, 120 unit wood frame assisted living facility for seniors with features including elevators, resident storage, library, sitting rooms, beauty shop, dining hall, arts & crafts room, dayrooms and a computer lab.

Riverview Manor

Canton, GA
As-built construction survey and structural repair design for this 5-story 143,000 sf, 138 unit wood frame apartment facility with a reinforced concrete walkout basement. Construction Cost $9M.

Comfort Inn

Louisville, KY
Structural design for a three-story, 81 unit, 57,796 SF load bearing light gauge metal hotel including indoor pool, spa, lobby and laundry.

Courtyard by Marriott, Seismic Analyses

Multiple Locations, CA
Conducted separate Zone 4 seismic analyses for multiple Courtyard hotels located in California. Each three-story, 70,000 SF structure consisted of metal roof and concrete floor decks on light gauge metal framing. Locations included Livermore and Ontario.

Day’s Inn Hotel, Forensic Evaluation

Marietta, GA
Structural assessment of an existing 36 room motel including providing visual observations, recommendations, and repairs to restore the structural integrity of building areas observed to its original condition. Specific areas of concern were the exterior balconies, stairs, and building foundations. Among other issues, there was major deterioration of beams supporting the first and second elevated levels and the columns supporting the second level. Recommended shoring the existing beams immediately to insure no structural failure occurred prior to new beams and columns are installed.

Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Community Living Center

Fayetteville, NC
Structural design for a new 30,680 SF free standing Community Living Center (CLC) including three Homes which will house approximately 30 beds. The new structural steel framed buildings consist of a single story rectangular shaped main building with hip roofs on the Home buildings and a flat roof on the CLC. The roof will be designed for a future second floor. The buildings will be designed to meet all applicable codes stated in the SFO and will be designed as a Life Safety protected building as defined by the VA. Revit® Structure BIM software was utilized in the design of this project.

The Mark Athens Parking Structure

Performed an assessment of precast component differential movement in two parking structures at The Mark Athens with a total of 1182 spaces. The project also included a walk-through and cursory observation of the balance of the parking structures to help identify obvious deficiencies and to provide an indication of the overall condition of the structures. The Mark Athens is an offsite student housing complex located at the University of Georgia.

The Standard at Auburn Parking Garage

Performed a condition assessment of known double T (TT) connection issues in the parking structure at The Standard at Auburn with a total of 668 spaces. The project also included a walk-through and cursory observation of the balance of the parking structure to help identify obvious deficiencies and to provide an indication of the overall condition of the structure.
